Brief Description
Wallpaper.C is a Trojan that carries out several modifications in the Windows Registry, which prevent the user from working with the computer as usual.
These modifications prevent the user from carrying out the following actions, among others:
Doing searches and running files in a fast and straight way, as it disables the options Search and Run from the Start menu.
Viewing the processes that are being run through the Task Manager.
Additionally, it ends several programs when it detects a window whose title contains certain text strings related to some system programs.
Wallpaper.C reaches the computer in a file with the icon of a folder, in order to deceive users making them think it is an inoffensive file. However, it does not spread automatically using its own means. It needs an attacking user's intervention in order to reach the affected computer.
